Hi Guys

I have loads of music on my iPhone some purchased some burnt from CD

The pcs I had iTunes on have died so on another windows Pc have installed iTunes, but when click on the iPhone icon it shows there is no music or anything at all - I have heard horror stories of when syncing that it then replaces the iPhone music with the iTunes music ( which in this case is none ! )

So the end result is nil music on my iPhone ! - I am happy with iTunes and wish to carry on purchasing

I have seen Sharepod does any one know anything about this ?

Thanks

Paul

The best way to prevent this is to have a backup drive. Then you just copy the music to the new computer. If you don't have that, you can still recover the music. The iTunes music purchases can be redownloaded by clicking Trasnfer Purchases after you authorize the new computer, but the other music will be removed on the first sync if you don't copy it over to the computer first. You can try the free app i-FunBox and if it doesn't work, you can use Tansee ($19.95) to copy the music from the iPhone to the computer.

For future reference, here's a great guide if you are switching computers and the old computer is still working.
