When asking Siri for directions, follow it up with the words "via transit" and you'll be able to use a 2nd party navigation app like google maps or navigon. I've tried it and can confirm it works! Nice Easter Egg!
Which version of iOS? This is what I get:When asking Siri for directions, follow it up with the words "via transit" and you'll be able to use a 2nd party navigation app like google maps or navigon. I've tried it and can confirm it works! Nice Easter Egg!
Didn't think about what 'transit' really was. No bus, subway, rail in the area I tried.
That is what I have tooThis is the screen you'll see right after you say, "Navigate to x via transit."

I don't have subways or rails, either. Adding "via transit" is just a way to get Siri to give you an option to open the alternate maps apps that you have installed on 5.1 and higher (see the first two apps in my screenshot).Didn't think about what 'transit' really was. No bus, subway, rail in the area I tried.
That's good. I'd worry if I had to change trains halfway through.I don't have subways or rails, either.
