Sketches: finally an iPhone doodle pad!

Hit up Installer.app and check it out.

Currently it's still very early, but you can draw and erase. Erasing is done by shaking the iPhone, completely erasing everything. It's icon is an etchasketch, so I can understand the shake/delete thing

Very fun, give it a go.

I was toying with an idea like this. I am wanting to learn to code some apps for the iPhone. Before I begin, I need to figure out what I will need to start. This software sounds like a great idea! I will hold off until I hear more about it and see how others like it. It is definitely a great concept!

This is still an alpha release, so I think it's just a matter of time before the application can do more than draw and erase. I didn't see an option to save the drawings, but there is one to delete them so I guess saving is on the to-do list.

If you really do need to save your drawing you could always take a quick snapshot with Dock and email that from your camera roll.

It would be great for an option to save each drawing and have each on listed for quick access. I.e. be able to save a title to each on for quick access from a list. I am probably pushing it, but it would be great to be able to import it into other software. Only time will tell.

It looks like it was supposed to/will support the adding of drawings to the Camera app.

But right now when I tap Camera Roll I get the last picture from my camera roll with my "drawing" superimposed on top. (Playing with this is when the app locked up my iPhone BTW).

I got the same lock up. As of now that's an unhappy button.

Hmm, if this program introduces the ability to draw on top of camera roll pictures, well, that'd be incredibly useful depending on your field of businesss.

To avoid freezes/hangs ups, you must restart your iPhone after installing the Sketch program.
