I must be missing something. When Im texting with my fat fingers and the intuitive box suggests what I actually want, how do I approve and use what it suggests instead of what I type? Thanks

just keep on typing like you normally would or hit the space key. if you don't want hit touch the word on your screen to 'X' it out.

If I am understanding you right, the answer is no. The iPhone give you only one suggestion that you can either take, ignore or backspace and start over. Of course I have found that I have to backspace all the way to the end of the previous word including the space between the works to get the auto-correct to start working again.

I've noticed the same thing. Also, when you are typing something in Safari, have you noticed that sometimes the autocorrect won't work at all and you have to close Safari and go back in to get it to start working again? I've noticed this happening since the new update and it is pretty annoying.
