Okay, to all that were having problems getting the picture of the batter on the wallpapaer to show full charge and getting the usage statistics to reset battery usage to 0 I have solved the great conundrum.

Once the tiny icon in the corner shows the plug icon instead of the lightning bolt, technically the phone is 100% full but the picture of the big battery is not full nor has the usage statistics reset to 0. All you have to do is sit on the locked phone screen, unplug the charger, go to the usage statistic screen, plug the phone back in and in seconds the lightning bolt in the corner should change to a plug and the usage statistics will turn to 0 and begin (again).
Also, lock the phone then hit the power button again to see the full larger battery icon.

worked for me, hopefully it works for you too. :laugh2:

Oh, don't be fooled, my battery life is perfectly fine. Last about 2 and a half- 3 days but I just wanted the statistic thing to work, and I know several other people had this same problem...

just in case though, can you still exchange iPhones for the usage stats not working after the 14 days?

You can exchange the iPhone for up to a year if you've got a technical problem. The 14 days is to return it and get 90% of your money back just because you didn't like it.

After doing a restore on my phone due to 1.2 gigs of "missing" space, I now have this stupid battery/statistic problem.. Was there ever a definitive solve?

that's strange....All I do is sit my phone on the wall charging dock and set the screen to off. In the morning, I click the standby button to make sure the plug is in the mini icon (and BTW the big green battery is glowing and at 100%) then I lift it off the charging dock and go to stats...my stats have been reset already to zero. Just a thought to make you go hmmmmmm.

That's what mine used to do, but now after a restore, the battery doesn't go to full or glow, and the stats don't reset....

Sometimes I get the glowing battery sometimes I don't. Sometimes I get the usage reset to 0, sometimes I get it reset to less than it was but still something like 2 hours usage (in the morning after unplugging it).

I'm beginning to think it's related to whether it's in airplane mode or not. When plugged in but not in airplane mode it seems to reset correctly. But if in airplane mode the usage doesn't to reset fully. I do always get the battery icon changing from a lightning bolt to the charged icon.

I have the same problem every morning ... Reset meters from the night before, but showing 2-3 hours of standby and usage...

I tried this today too and it worked. I had to unplug and plug a couple times, though. Basically as soon as I saw the charged plug symbol and then replugged, it reset. Prior to that it wouldn't reset no matter what I did.

I have found that my stats will always reset. All I do is leave it charging for an hour after the plug appears in the right upper corner. Within that hour, the stats are reset. I never get the glowing battery but the battery is always full.
