You know, this week so far, I have been through Wyoming, Nevada and now California and I have not had one problem using my iPhone. Right now, I am sitting in a room at a hotel in Hollywood and my iPhone gets perfect reception and I have made several phone calls with no problems.

It also kept me company while wasting time in a rest area till sunrise. I didn't want to open up my MBP and so the iPhone was more convenient in the car. I read AND posted in many of my favorites sites during that 6 hours.

It's a great travel companion!

iPhone RULES!

iPaq to iPhone

Granted, I was doing A LOT MORE on my iPAQ but I'm sure that will change over time. It already has :)

Couldnt agree more. I had the Treo's then was on live with my 8125/525.. When it came out I was intrigued by it, but just wasn't worth the money IMO and was inferior technicality wise to my 81 series phones.

Needless to say, I can't live without of now, it still has a few things I dislike (no copy/cut/past, file browser on phone, speaker volume) but it will all be out in due time!

I just got my iPhone, moved over from a Treo 750 and a 8525 and I am impressed! I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but the more that I use it, the more I play, the more I learn, I am just impressed. I liked the 750 and the 8525 but wow! The big thing I notice is the fact that the iPhone is such a solid device, it just feels wonderful! I played with my Treo after using the iPhone for a few hours and it just felt cheap and almost like a toy. What can be said that hasn't already been said about the browser! Just wow, I would recommend this thing to anyone!

I must agree with the OP. I certainly see the shortcomings, but this gadget is just so slick. The ooh's and ahh's from people just keep rolling in as soon as they see it. And it's only going to get better.

But for all the sleekness and multifunctionality, you know what my favorite iPhone feature is?

The phone.

That's it. I just love dialing on the touch screen. It's instantaneous and perfect. The sources and keyboard panels are excellent in their implementation. The contacts are perfectly integrated. Bluetooth handoffs are seamless. Waiting calls are handled perfectly. Merging and swapping are silky smooth. Apple's first foray into the cell phone businesss has got to be the least talked-about blow-away iPhone success there is. Gets lost in the mire.

Did I mention "perfect"? :laugh2:
