Speed Dial on Dock Not Functioning?

I have an iPhone 3G running on 3.0, and recently installed Dock. Everything seems to be working to my satisfaction except for the Speed Dial option. It would be great if the Speed Dial would actually dial the contacts. I've got Speed Dial set up for Right Sunburst. Anybody know what the problem is?

try a hard reboot to reset the firmware
