Just read that in the FAQ about upgrading! Awesome news! Now I can print that out and shove it into any reps face telling me I need to be in my upgrade period...(yes I have a grudge about that, but I can stop now! Finally the wait is over and all the questions can be answered.
At&t iPhone
Q. I just upgraded my phone recently. Are there any penalties or restrictions for upgrading to iPhone right away?
A. No. Everyone can upgrade to iPhone right away.
Here's a cool .pdf file that might help explain a few things too.
No not to purchase.so just to clear things up..you DO have to have a credit/debit card to purchase the iPhone?
And all of mine too. Thanks for the link ColsTiger
I'm a current Cingular/AT&T customer and not up for renewal. It pretty much answers all my questions.
hey trippalhealicks how did you already survive iday if it didn't even happen yet?
Should be pretty painless if you're close enough to the front of the line to get one on iDay.This is great news. Now, if they use some kind of tickets or wristbands, this whole thing should move pretty smoothly. I could be out of there by 6:30!
Absolutely. Someone is the primary account holder on your account. That person must use their SS# during the activation process and choose the iPHone data plan ($20/month) and your contract for your number will automatically be extended two years. So if i'm not eligibal for an upgrade i can just get the phone with someone 18 or older and get a contract extension
Ya it is thanks for all your help.Absolutely. Someone is the primary account holder on your account. That person must use their SS# during the activation process and choose the iPHone data plan ($20/month) and your contract for your number will automatically be extended two years.
Pretty sweet huh?
Anytime! I'm just glad we finally know all those stupid At&t employees were talkin outta their butts when they were telling people things like "existing customers won't be able to buy the iPhone, and you can't get one unless you're eligible for an upgrade." I bet they all feel pretty stupid today. All of you guys that were told this can march in their local At&t/ Cingular stores and smile at those losers when you buy your new iPhones.Ya it is thanks for all your help.
Is it the entire ss or just the last 4? Also What would happen if the BDAY didn't match that of the account holder? DO you think you would receive an error if you were already a customer?Absolutely.
