Strange glitch when deleting events in Calendar

I searched the forums for a similar issue to the one I'm having with no luck. Sorry if this is a repeat...

For the past two days I've been experiencing an annoying glitch with the Calendar application. Yesterday, when in month view, I selected an event to delete it. After I selected "edit," then "delete event", I returned to the month view and realized the event was still there! I then noticed that a completely different event from the day was missing. It deleted the wrong one.

Before I get the "are you sure you didn't accidentally touch the wrong event, sometimes the touchscreen is tricky" responses, I can confirm I selected the intended event. As a matter of fact, this glitch occurred to me three times in a row, which is what surprised me so much. Fortunately, I remembered the events that were unintentionally deleted so I was able to re-enter them.

When this happened yesterday, I turned off the phone, then turned it back on and all appeared normal again. Today, unfortunately, it just did it again. So I'm wondering... has anyone else experienced this strange phenomenon? I'm about to do a hard reset, since that appears to fix most glitches, but still, I'd like to know if this is a new one or something others have experienced.

(note: my 8gb iPhone is not modded, still has about 5 gigs of free space available, and the cache is cleaned regularly. This issue and a couple other minor glitches have only appeared since the install of the update.)

Update...

After this glitch reoccurring yesterday and today, I decided to do a hard reset, hoping it would cure the problem. A few minutes ago, after the reset/restart, I went to delete another event. I only had 2 events left on the calendar for today, but it deleted the one I wanted to remain. What gives?!

Anybody else experience this? I can't believe this glitch would occur on just one phone.

Bump... it's still doing it. Even after a shutdown/restart and the hard reset, it won't delete events in the Month view of the Calendar application properly. It always deletes an event that wasn't selected. Weird.

Anyway, I'm also experiencing more glitches that aren't being cured by a hard reset - random screen freezes, returns to the home screen, and the occasional blacking out of the screen before returning to the home screen. I'll be exchanging this iPhone for another at the Apple store this week. Bummer... I love the phone, but this is getting ridiculous.

Surprised I'm the only one...

Mine does not do this, and I don't know how to help you. you seem to have done everything logically. I think last step is a restore. Just make sure outlook (or whatever you use) has everything backed up

Well, since I just noticed the new update, I think I'll give that a shot and see if it fixed this little glitch. If not, it's a full restore, then back to the Apple store for a new phone...

thanks for the advice btw.
