Ok so i'm going today to switch from my Sidekick 3 to our beloved iPhone however I'm the primary number on my T-Mobile account, my wife's number is secondary... when I switch over will it cancel both causing me to have 2 termination fees? I don't want to take any chances

Just call T-Mobile, they will give you all the info.

i am in the exact same situation, and as i understand it you will have to pay to terminate both yours and your wife's contract. unless, of course, your wife is staying with t-mobile. in which case, you'll miss out on the free mobile-to-mobile calling.

Yes my wife will be staying with T-Mobile until her contract lapses in december then we'll move her over with me. I'm interested in the filing of the complaint though to avoid the termination fee. Again my main concern is because I am the primary number on the account when I port my number to AT&T I want to make sure T-Mobile doesn't close the other number on the account as well. I just called T-Mobile but the lady I got was far from knowledgeable, she just said after I port to immediately call customer care and let them know I want to keep the secondary line and now have it as the primary.

yes same thing here, we have 2 phones on a family plan with T-Mobile. I will port mine to AT&T for the iPhone but will keep wife on Tmobile and transfer her (assuming I can) to a individual plan. Once her contract expires I will move her to AT&T with me.

Yeah it's 200, luckily I found someone willing to buy my SK3 off me for $100. Were not on a family plan so I would assume it should be fine and her number and everything will remain the same. I'm keeping calm that i'll be able to get one here in the Bay Area. California has an AT&T / Cingular everywhere.
