Syncing my iPad to new MBP

OK, so I've got my new MBP all set up. And I think I'm ready to synch my iPad and iPhone to it. WHen I was setting up the MBP, the only thing I transferred directly from my old computer to the MBP was my music and movies library. Or so I thought. But I also see now in iTunes that all my apps are in there as well.

So, if I hook up my iPad and iPhone and sync them, will everything sync properly? I just don't want it wiping everything off of them and having to start from scratch if I don't have to.

I've never had a problem. If, for some reason, iTunes is going to wipe your iDevice, it will ask you if you wanna sync with a new library and it will erase current content. If that happens...well, you pretty much have to sync with the new library. At least that's my experience. (Only other solution is restoring the MBP from a Time Machine backup.)
