Text Message & Voice Mail Notification Sounds

Under Sounds you can select a ringtone for the ringer, but can you not change the notification sound for New Voicemail, New Text Message, New Mail etc.........

Next to New Text Message there is a slider bar to turn on and off, but no way to change the sound. Please tell me this is possible..

Not yet. Hopefully soon. A pretty stupid oversight IMHO. If not an oversight than just plain stupid idea to not include that.

I agree, for this price we want to be able to hear when we have email and text message so we use or iPhone more and more.

Why do I see these useless replies? I believe the Apple fanboys don't like it when someone says an Apple product isn't flawless. I do not want to return my iPhone. I really enjoy it but that doesn't mean I'm not going to state the truth about items that are below par.

You can always take it back within the 14 day purchase period if you're unhappy.

I would not recommend waiting 14 days. Hundreds of thousands people bought iPhone on iDay (and next day). It might get crouded at 14 day expiration day in Apple stores as people will be returning their stuff.

I would love this feature as well. I bought one for my wife and she can never tell if I texted her or not. I can't hear if someones texts me either so I have to keep looking at the screen.
