Good news. Maybe it will help some of these people with issues.I called 800-my-iphone and they said an update is coming next week to fix some of the bugs including battery issues. Don't know what a software update can do for the battery but we'll see.
In cases like mine, a software update could do a lot. "The Engineers" think that my battery is fully charging, but the software isn't reporting it properly. That was the result of a long phone call today, and they are actually supposed to call me back about it.I called 800-my-iphone and they said an update is coming next week to fix some of the bugs including battery issues. I don't know anything for sure. LOL.are you sure its not glowing because its not fully charge, or is it charing and not at 100% thats why u don't see the glow.
mine, when i plug it in it looks like its 100% charged, but i left it there for another 20 mins and look at it and it is now glow. so i guess i might be wrong
Pardon me if this is a silly question but... what is supposed to "glow"?I don't know anything for sure. LOL.
Apple today told me that it IS supposed to glow when it's fully charged, but it doesn't HAVE to glow... I'm not kidding... that's what they said.
I do get the little plug icon in the mini-battery.
I'm not too worried about it (yet) because I get excellent battery life... just no usage stats, and no glowing. Next time I charge I'll try leaving it on the charge for a while longer after it says it's full.
The large green battery when it's fully charged (and still on the charger).Pardon me if this is a silly question but... what is supposed to "glow"?

Hilarious! It's also a reference to the magical power acquired by Kung Fu masters as in Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon
...so bad...but he does glow!
And they didn't even show the part where he catches a bullet with his teeth!Hilarious!
To me, it wouldn't matter. You are able to upgrade your iPhone through iTunes, just like regular iPods.if the update is coming, would it be better to get an iPhone before or after the update, or does it matter?
Give it time. It's been less than two weeks. It seems like people are expecting daily updates for their iPhone. That's now how development works. Once they've bundled enough features/fixes into a release, Apple will let us know.I have lost all faith in them, i called about an issue opening my email attachments and they told me the phone is working fine that I should not be able to open a word document sent in email.
Then a watched a friend do it on his phone and new I had a problem.
I was able to resolve it but if I didn't know someone who had an iPhone I would have taken the techs word as good![]()
a software update is not really a big deal that they have to keep secret, but its also not a big deal to the point where they need to put out a press release about it. Everyone knows they will happen eventually, especially with a new product, they have to start putting out updates every couple weeks to fix the glitches/things they want to add to the phone. i believe the update newsNot only that, but keep in mind the iPhone is new for them too. I think they are providing very good support for how little they know about it... My brother works for Apple and they got very little training before the launch day. Keeping things top secret has its downsides
I AM surprised any rep on the phone would say "an update is coming next week"... that's the kind of thing they can get fired for unless it's already common knowledge.
