I too used the windex method and now my screen won't even stick on to my iPhone when I'm applying it, it keeps curling into itself. I had to turn it on its screen, and now I just hope that when it actually does dry it'll stick. the edged around the home button and the ear phone are sticking up and wont stick down. *sigh* I should've just used the normal solution...

I don't even have a second one anymore, I'm already on my second one.

Just Got It

Ordered the BodyGuardz last week after reading this thread. I prefer to use my phone naked... or almost naked. Do not like wearing it on my belt and most cases are bulky in my pants pocket. Usually the phone is in my back pant pocket and if not in a case it is not too big. The phone prior to my razor I kept breaking the antenna and it was a pain to have it replaced... many times. When the Razor came out thought I had died and gone to heaven. That has been over 2 years and until iPhone still on my original Razor and never had a problem with the phone in my back pocket playing golf several times a week or riding my motorcycle even on long trips. Unfortunately the cell phone has become a necessity and the easier it is keep on my person with the least wear and tear I will try. It looks as some have had trouble with the install. Tonight I will try the installation as described in the beginning of this thread. Will post again and report how it went. Most likely in my late 50's I have more patience and will do it over a 2 time span.

Let me just advise u to use the normal way that its supposed to be uses: with the provided solution because people seemed to only have problems when trying to apply the Bodyguardz with windex. I know for me the windex ruined a screen protector but the second one I put on the way bodyguardz advises and it worked perfectly

How Do It Look ?

After a fews days, how does it look ? Is it as clear as a naked phone ? Does the back bend and stick to the sides as instructions says it will. Reading all the threads on several forums, some report that you can almost not tell a skin has been applied. In my car windows tinted by a professional shop and you can not tell a film has been applied. Occasionally a car will put up at a stop light with a film job that looks like a monkey put it on with bubbles and wrinkles all over. It is usually better to let a professional do what they know how to do. If I can make the skin almost invisible then I will be a happy customer.

I put my Bodyguardz on the way they instructed and it is totally clear. I can't even tell its on. Its very nice and transparent. The only thing I would do differently is apply the bodyguardz in a bathroom with a hot shower running for a while. I read that the steam and heat helps keep lint and dust away from your phone when applying the films so that nothing can get stuck underneath, though I only have one small piece of dirt underneath my front film. I would definitely use the solution they provide and use a decent amount of solution on the films

Last night I performed step one: putting on the screen (front) portion. I am one very happy camper. There is one very small imperfection on the top right corner I must not have smoothed out perfectly. No bubbles or lint or any other contaminates of any kind this morning 12 hours after install. Screen is very clear and not at all sticky I have read on other post and forums. If I can get the back on as nice as the front the case sellers will never get a penny from me. I like the way the phone slides in my sports coat pocket or the back pocket of my jeans or pant. When on vibration mode should be more recognizable being NAKED. I did install using the solution shipped with the BodyGuardz and not the Windex. Will post the results after putting on the back.

As stated yesterday I installed the back panel of the Bodyguardz last night. Now that I have successfuly put on both sides, I agree you should take your time and do the install over at least two days. The back is MUCH more complicated that the flat piece for the front. If I were putting on both pieces in the same session I am convinced that because of frustration the finished results would not be as good. After saying all this, I am VERY satisfied with the finished product. Carrying the iPhone naked is more more user friendly and every time I take it out for use can admire the beauty of the best pocket hi-tech device yet. The added skin adds a very good feel and the entire iPhone does not show finger prints and face oils from use as it does without. My plan is to use the first shield and discover what life span it offers and now after some experience putting on the second one will be much easier. Bodyguardz is a great product and I feel this is the best way to go for me.:laugh2:

awesome stuff, i really appreciate what you have written here...

my question is as follows ...

i have waited for a few hours now and when i turned my iPhone on... it's clear that the screen isn't as clear... it's odd looking because i think the skin is still wet.... what do i do?

should i undo it and redo it? or will that fix itself in time as well.

thanks.

to explain further.....

there is definitely moisture underneath the skin that makes the BEAUTIFUL screen quality really not so great...

will this go away in time?... or must i use another skin?

It'll dry out, just give it another 24 hours :)

San Francisco!!!!
I have a question, what if you just use a lot of the solution rather than Windex, will it still have the effect of being able to move the BodyGuard around?

I just applied the bodyguardz front to my iPhone. I probably have almost 20 little air bubbles that i couldnt get out...the surface feels a little rubberry...it also somehow feels like the screen is higher now but the skin isn't that thick so it must be my imagination...i definitelly still have moisture under the skin...will let you know how it looks tomorrow...was easy to put on just hope the bubbles clear themselves out...

After about 24 hours, most of the bubbles have subsided and now i only have about 5 or 6 bubbles left. The surface is rubberry but still slick at the same time which is good. However when you look at a reflection on it, the reflection is not clear but wavy due to the material. Hopefully the remaining bubbles will be gone in another 24 hours.
