Ok its been over 48 hours since I applied the bodyguardz on the front. I still see a bubble that doesn't look like its clearing away. I also see ripples on the screen if i put it in the right light. I also see white specs on some parts of the screen. don't know if its dust or the solution that hasn't dried. Its kind of annoying. I'm debating between selling off the 2nd bodyguardz set, trying the front again doing it more carefuly, or just screwing it and getting the crystal film which everyone's happy with.

Incredible Shield bezel and corners

Just after applying the incredible shield to my iPhone... and then coming across this forum. Typical...

If I'd read it before I would probably have gone with the bodyguardz protector instead of Incredible Shield as it covers the bezel... Only thing is, so does this one. I'm not sure if the original poster accidentally threw away the little pieces that do this, but they're definitely in the packet. There are even little tear-drop shaped pieces to cover the apex of each corner and fill in the gaps. I must say the invisible shield cover is really good on the iPhone and I like the little bit of extra grip it affords - I think the slight extra friction on the screen is unobtrusive and worth it if it stops me dropping the phone.

If anyone wants I can post some pictures of the corners and bezel so you can judge it for yourself.

Yah the invisible shield didn't cover the chrome bezel at launch but they quickly remedied the problem and ever since about a month after launch they have been shipping the new design which covers the chrome bezel. I know because I ordered one in july and it didn't cover the chrome. A month later I sent for a replacement and they sent me the new improved cut shield. I have it on my new iPhone right now, just put it on today. Fits very well.

Body Guardz squeegee scratches the guard itself!

Hi,

So I just got the BG in the mail and put it on. Everything seemed to work great for the most part, but upon closer inspecting (in a bright area, and at an angle) I can see that the stupid squeegee scratched up the guard itself! I wasn't even using the corners of the squeegee or anything! So now there are these light scratches on the BG, which kind of bug because isn't there supposed to be some guarantee that the BG does NOT GET SCRATCHED?!

Anyway, if i had known, I would have just used my hands to push the bubbles out and left the rest of the bubbles to evaporate out during the curing process. I sure hope these scratches go away once I apply my face grease to the phone!

Are you guys still buying IS/BSE/BG? I thought that when fullbodyfilms released their perfect solution that everyone would get that but I guess nobody heard of them. Look it up and also the iLounge review. It's basically a package consisting of a bodyguardz back film with the powersupport (Apple store one) screen protectors (anti-glare and crystal clear).

Correction and Follow up on BG

How about fingerprints ? Does the BG attracts fingerprints ?
Anti-glare ?
Hi,

Ok so I wigged out about the squeegee causing scratches on the film. I wrote BG customer service and they said that the film is "self-healing" and that the scratches will disappear over time. Sure enough, 2 days later, the scratches disappeared, as well as the microbubbles. The last thing to disappear were the larger bubbles (I had 4 of them, about 2mm radius). Those took about a week to disappear. I was totally amazed. I think warmer ambient temperature helps to make the bubbles go away. I'm not suggesting you apply heat to your iPhone, though.

The BG does not have anti-glare and I didn't want it because I think it will make the screen less vibrant. I would not say that the BG "attracts" finger prints, but if your fingers are greasy, you will see prints. I would say it's about 50% less finger-printy than the original iPhone screen.

Well I never usually enter this area of EIC but I received an Invisible Shield today and had given up on the application of the back panel, so much so it was in the recycle bin. I was actually looking for an alternative, maybe a skin (but I don't like them much). Anyway I read about the Windex thingey (we do have Windex here in Ireland) so I used an Irish version (windowleen). I picked my crumpled invisible shield out of the bin dipped it in my Windex replacement followed the instructions and to my amazement it seems to be working. Not a bubble in sight. Thanks 'thegasguru'

oh wow...not good. Windex is great for regular plastic screens but if you used it on your ipod touch, it'll eat away the protective coating and when you take the IS off it'll scratch easily. Try read the windowleen and see if it has ammonia. If it doesn't, you're safe.

sorry I forgot to say it was just the back. I had put on the front with the invisible shield solution no problem. It was the back I scrapped

well I have had my full body invisible shield on for a few weeks now and thought I'd report back. Fantastic! Amazing! I'm nearly showing as many people the atributes of the shield as the phone itself. Provding I don't drop my phone I feel this thing will keep my phone like new and ready for resale when iPhone 2 comes to daddy!

Hello all,

I just received my BodyGuardz shield today (ordered it after reading this thread!). Has anyone noticed the cutting has some minor "rough edges" on the curved parts? The main one that kinda 'bugs' me is the cut for the camera hole. You can see it isn't a perfect circle and has a little piece of material sticking out.

It kinda looks like its where the cutting tool starts on the material. Are all skins like this or am I being too picky? My friends always say I have OCD lol

DiNGS vs. Skins

When I first bought my iPhone, I bought a skin from some generic company that left a sticky residue all over my phone. I then went to a bulky plastic case that took away from the sleekness of the iPhone. Now, I discovered DiNGLIFE.com they make DiNGS which are similar to skins but they DO NOT leave any type of residue on your phone. They're extremely easy to apply/remove too. I have now DiNG'd my macbook and ipod as well! I also got 10% off with the discount code: sweet discount

Enjoy!
