While my niece was messing with my phone, she found an undocumented feature to rotate/tilt a picture. It seemed to be able to tilt at any angle and stay there.

Problem is, I can't reproduce this except on accident. My niece isn't even 2 yet, so she can't explain it either =P

Has anyone figured out the finger motions to get a photo to rotate WITHOUT rotating the device from portrait to landscape?

Thanks,

I think i figured it out.

While it's rotating from turning the phone, you can stop it by having your finger on it during the rotation.

While it remembers it short-term, if you go 1 or 2 photos left/right, if you go more than that, it will forget the change and revert to origional size/angle.

Hopefully Apple will allow you to rotate the picture on your iPhone without having to rotate it on your PC first.

For example, after developing photos, all of them are normal landscape mode on the CD. Consequently, photos that are best shown in portrait mode, don't look right in either mode on the iPhone. When wide it's facing the wrong way, and when the iPhone is in the tall mode, it's a wide picture so its very small. I'd have to rotate it on my PC to get it to look right on the iPhone.
