I have been using a treo for awhile now, and before that a PDA and before that a paper Franklin Planner. I do a lot of things that revolve around a to do lists tied in with a calendar. Something that Outlook does very well. Now that the price of the iPhone has become affordable, I really want to get one, but I don't want to lose the task list functionality that I hve become accustomed to and that the Palm Treo handles so efficiently. I have been trying to find out if there is a to do list on the iPhone, it has the calendar and contacts but have found nothing regarding tasks. Is there a way?

If all your task/to do items are on your outlook calendar then they will sync over to the iPhone. the iPhone does ot have an independent to do list or task manager.

There are quite a number of good online apps that will do this for you, and that look good and work well with iPhone. A few that I've found most promising are: Toodledo, Ta-da List, Listingly, and pTasks.

Highrise is another that offers mote than just to-do's offers tasks, contacts, cases etc. - but does not have screens that adapt quite so well for the iPhone.

I have the same concern. I used Franklin l planners for a long time and got a BB pearl recently (just before iPhone came out). I do not sync with outlook or anything, I just like having my calendar on the Pearl in my purse no matter where I am. I like the task function and how it automatically syncs in the calendar. I guess if I get the iPhone (which I really want to buy because it is so awesome) I could put the task as an item in the calendar? I need to remind my self of things like making a dr's appointment or paying for my kids school pictures, etc...Do you think that would work? Any input is appreciated! thanks!
