Moderators,

I sit here no more than 7 hours after the announcement of the lower price iPhone, and half of the threads are either complaining about that, wanting money back, being pissed and Steve Jobs. Can you control some of these, combine into a single official "***** Thread"? Getting kind of annoying. No personal offense to the people out there. i too, spent $600 on my iPhone, it's like any other deal that goes on sale after a return period. What, never had a expensive stereo or TV drop in price after refund time? it's the same idea. get over. they originally priced at 500/600 because of supply and demand. they knew people would wait in line, they knew people would buy them at whatever price. GET OVER IT! Set up a new topic of "pissed off people"?

Thank You,

Dan

I just sent a PM to Chris asking for a "iBitching" thread to be created so all the people who think they got hustled can ***** and moan together in ONE thread.

No no no. No iBitching thread. The iWhiners need their own forum category!

Most of the movement has been done. For the most part, discussions will be moved to General Discussion. Since it's fresh, I've kept the two big topics sitting in the iPhone category. For the most part, those who would like to complain should use the Anyone else upset about the price drop to $399? thread.

FWIW, I checked out Apple's discussion board and it's worse. It's totally out of control.

Yes but they are deleting the threads over there since it is a Apple support forum.

Or just replace the "camping" section. Edit: "c>amp<ing" to "c>ry<ing"

;)

Now, that's a great idea.;)

This is just complete mayhem here.... Trying to make the best of it and I'm guessing it'll settle down over time.

I don't mind the complaining if it were more orderly. I've got new members left and right who are just here to bash the price drop. They have disregard for categories and there has been an abundance of forum rules voilations.

yes, I used (this morning) to browse the "General Discussion" & "iPhone" portions the most, now it's just getting ridiculous. I miss threads such as "just unlocked my iPhone" and "OMG dropped my iPhone today, omg, OMG!", and who could ever forget "HELP ME PLEASE!"

Nah, really though, I would hate to be admin right now with all this chaos happening, but you're right, things will simmer down in due time.

If there's anything I can do to help lemme know. ;)

I know that if most people(me) would just stop posting on these "new" threads every five minutes, things may seem less cluttered, but I CAN'T HELP IT!

Chris, thanks a lot for responding, i know you are doing your best. Some people need to figure out that others will have the same issues and you don't always need to start a new thread.
