Hi all,

I have an iPhone 4 32 Gigs jailbroken and and ipad 2 3G 16 GB jailbroken. Now the issue is that I hardly use 50% of iPhone's storage i.e approx 15-16 GB. So basically, almost 15-16 GB of my iPhone storage is unutilised. Now the issue is that i would want to utilize unused iPhone storage for ipad, means if i could access iPhone's space through ipad. I mean if i could stream on ipad from iPhone. Is there a way where i keep my movies on iPhone and could be streamed over the ipad.I also don't mind transferring files from iPhone to ipad as and when required. But since iPhone doesn't allow bluetooth transfer, thats useless. BTW i tried using ifile's bluetooth transfer thing and found it to be too slow. Like to transfer one 4 MB song, it took my more than 90 secs. So movies are out of the question.

The reason I am asking is because i always have my iPhone with me and when m going out or for a trip, i would want to carry extra movies or files on iPhone and can then transfer to ipad when i want to watch or have some work. I hope u guys get my point.

Please suggest me alternatives. If there is some way, i will be more than happy.

Thanks. :)

Bluetooth file transfer via iFile or Celeste is slower than WiFi, but there isn't another option without internet or a computer to add or remove the files.

If you have a 3G or WiFi connection and don't mind leaving your computer on or in standby mode, Air Video is the way to go. I can't say enough good things about that app.

Well, I wouldn't say you don't have options. I'd say the options aren't satisfactory to you. You can use Bluetooth file transfer (slow but completely mobile) or carry a laptop (fast but requires carrying more equipment).

He's looking for a method that will work without internet. He'd get an Unable to view file: No Internet Connection error in DropBox.
Exactly.. Just curious though.. Are there portable wifi routers available? Like running on batteries. Great option to transfer files between idevices..

There's portable 3G (MiFi), but it costs more than your data plan since you're asking about doing this when you don't have a cellular signal on your phone, the MiFi device probably wouldn't have a signal, either.

Mifi sounds to be a good option. Can someone, using mifi, tell mr whether I can use mifi device without a simcard.. Like using a router without plaguing in the internet cable.. Only for data transfers between devices?
