Hi all,

I couldn't find any thread dealing with this issue.

I need to pair my iPhone 4 with my iPad (1) to transfer pics from the iPhone to the iPad. Both were displaying the other as bluetooth devices but neither could connect to the other.

In order to test if removing the iPad from the list of BT devices on the iPhone might reset some broken settings, I clicked on the iPad on the BT devices and set it to "ignore". Now I still see the iPhone as device on the iPad as it should be, but can't connect to the iPhone as I expected.

BUT: how can I tell the iPhone to stop ignoring the iPad as BT device?

The iPhone is running version 4.3.3 (8J2), the iPad is on version 4.3.3 (8J3).

Desperate for any help on this ...

Jens

Bad news Jens. Currently, you cannot natively share via Bluetooth between an iDevice or pc. Sure, you can see the intended device, and possibly even make a connection, but that's where it ends.
You should check the app store for an app that can handle this. I am pretty sure that there are a couple out there, but I believe that most use Wifi and not BT for sharing files.

You can pair the iPhone to an iPad to share pictures via Bluetooth. Just use an app such as Bump.

thanks for the answers. I am using the PhotoShare app since today, I'll try Bump as well.

The main question was: how can I tell the iPhone to stop ignoring BT devices, that I set to ignore earlier?

The only thing I can think of is to reset network connections. Of course, this starts you back to square 1 for all connections, but setting up wifi shouldn't be that much of a pain.

I did try that ... resetting the network connections, resetting all settings, hard re-boot ... nothing brough me back the deactivated device, though.

I am using iFiles to transfer data between the iPhone and the iPad now via Bluetooth.

Thanks everyone!
