Using 4S, going back to 3GS

While we were in Chicago my 4S was timing out so much that I couldn't use it. My wife's 3GS however was working perfectly in all areas. This isn't the first time...

I really don't use Siri and I don't care about the retina display. Being that I can sell mine for $400 and get a 3GS for $1....I hate to say it, but I'm gonna do it.

Wow, that's going to be a drastic step backwards. But if the 3GS works better for you, then go for it.
Have you tried letting Apple take a look at it? If you have a store near by.

Believe me I don't want to, but at the end of the day it's all about functionality

I agree with ya. If it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work. Like you mentioned, you will be able to sell it quite easily and get a 3GS for next to nothing.
Matter of fact..... I have a 16gb 3GS sitting here in perfect shape. Trade ya... Even up.. Lol

Try doing a full reset of all the settings. Maybe something got tweaked. As a last resort, I'd take it into Apple and they may replace it. It's gotta be your individual 4S; otherwise we'd all be complaining. Automatically resigning to downgrading to a 3GS is illogical and naive.

Call it what you want....but I have to use what will work for my specific need. Funny thing is my friend had his 4S with him and he was having the same issues where the 3GS was breezing right along.
