Almost every year there is a new video game system. GameCube, PSP, PS2, PS3, X-box, X-box 360. Which do you play and what do you like about your system?

we have the xbox and the ps2. my kids and my husband really like both of them and I think each one has features that they like about each. the xbox seems to have more games that they prefer though.

I just picked up a Nintendo Wii and this thing is cool! It takes a little getting used to the new remote but it is actually not as bad as eveyone said it would be. I think for the price this system is where it's at! The $600 price tag on the Playstation 3 coupled with the fact that you can't find one makes the Wii my pick for the winner of the season!

I was recently considering the WII so I'm glad you have it because I'm curious, doesn't that controller wear your arm out? I'm wondering how long you will be able to play without switching over to the other arm.

god, i could be here all night.

got loads of consoles: NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Master System, Mega Drive, PlayStation 2, XBox, XBox 360, Lynx II, Game Gear, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Neo Geo Pocket Color to name but a few (there are more).

what a mis-spent childhood. they're all still mint in the boxes.

occasionally crack out the SNES because nothing on this planet beats Mario Kart in 2 player mode, except maybe 4-player Goldeneye on the N64 ;)

xbox 360 is rather handy bit of kit for high-res nice graphics, but failed to 'grip' me thus far.

ps2 is excellent, but only for Gran Turismo 3.

GameCube is great for so many reasons, including Monkey Ball when drunk.

XBox (i've chipped it) is my most used console however because i watch divx/etc films into the tv in proper anamorphic widescreen with dolby digital which is an absolute god-send for the hi-fi lover :)

What, not TurboGrafix in that list?;) My mother used to work for NEC, so I was one of the few who had that system. It was very capable, but didn't have the licensing. Another classic was 3DO. Again, great system but no licensing. I've had all the classics up until the PS3 (which I still haven't opened yet). I was looking at buying a classic Intellivision on eBay. As a child, I had the Atari 2600, but was always jealous of kids who had Intellivision. The baseball was legendary for the time.

Late to the thread, but I loved my 2600! Activision blew everyone away, Adventure rocked (did you see the secret credits at the end?), and I got a high score T-shirt for Kaboom! Pac Man was so lame it wrapped around and was great in its lameness.

But lets get really old school. Ready?

Pong.

I bought myself a Xbox 360 for Christmas just to play Gears of War.

Does anybody remember "Spy Hunter" the arcade game? I used to blow a lot of quarters at 7-11 on that game.

Spy Hunter ROCKED! I've tried the Palm OS version, but controlling everything is just too unwieldy.

I just got my husband a Wii, after reading all the reviews (x-box 360, Playstation3 etc) I'm glad I chose it....I usually don't play video games, but it looks like fun! I think I'm going to pick up Trauma Center for me..Does anyone have it, and do you like it?

I bought an XBox 360 just to play Oblivion. It would have cost me about the same amount to upgrade my PC to the level Oblivion required and if I did that, I wouldn't be able to play on my 55" HDTV :).

Now I use it more as a media extender for my Media Center PC than for playing games. I wasn't even aware of that feature when I purchased it. It turned out to be a great bonus.

I have an xbox 360. It is currently opened up and I am looking at its guts. I am flashing it to allow me play backups of games that I own.
