Quit your whining.

Here are a few facts:

No one forced you to buy it at $600

Apple is a publicly traded company that has an obligation to make money for it's shareholders

You received no guarantee that the price would be set at $600

If you didn't like it, you should've taken it back

Grow up.

Hear! Hear! Nicely put!

"Waaaaaah, Apple presented me with a prodcuct and I bought it. Now I want some of my money back. Waaaaaah!"

Cry us a river.

I heard GMC just lowered the prices on their trucks. If you bought one recently, Rick Wagoner owes you some money back. Waaaaaah.

BS-this is just bad businesss and not good for their reputation with loyal customers. Read it for yourself all over this forum. We have a right to complain. We were royally screwed by Apple. I for one worked hard for my money. Yah no one told me to go out and buy one but i did trusting Apple's reputation. I now have a phone that they are no longer making and could have had double the space for $100 less than I paid for the 4g just a few weeks ago. So don't tell me quit whining. I feel voilated and cheated and rightfully so!

I certainly hope you all aren't Apple users, because I always considered other Apple users my "bretheren"... if I passed by someone with a MBP we would always give the "Apple" nod...

I always enjoyed being a part of the "Apple cult" more because of the community of Apple users rather than the technological "leaps and bounds"...

I always thought Apple users stuck by each other... and you just mock your fellow brothers.

Now I realize it isn't Steve Jobs that is taking away the feeling of loyalty and comfort of being an Apple user, its you...

You 4 giggers really did get screwed the most.

I think if anything were to happen, they should atleast allow people that bought a 4 gig to be able to return it for an 8!

Sux to be you! No wait, you have an iPhone, i don't! Sux to be me!:p

Lol, that would be great, I think I would feel better if they gave me a 8g. At least it would save reputation as far as my bad mouthing them to no end.

So glad I returned when I did

People on this forum thought I was crazy to return my iPhone 13 days after purchasing. I now am glad I did. Sure, I wasted about $100 for the restocking and activation fee, but I knew I'd be saving myself a lot of trouble down the road.

Why? Because this phone is total hype. I bought into it just as any other apple-loyalist would. I hated the battery, I hated typing on it, the call quality and speakerphone were poor, 2 year contract -- and Edge -- don't EVEN get me started.

Here's my point: I think everyone is so angry about the price drop because they know, at the end of the day, the phone was never really worth $600, even if you were the first person on the planet to own one. Apple knew they'd get the diehards -- and they did. Now they need the mass market. They obviously aren't selling enough units.

Personally, I'll wait til MOST of the kinks are worked out.

Oh please. The "Apple screwed me" people are giving us a bad name. You'll notice the Apple "brethren" are sticking by Apple because we know their recent moves were made to strengthen Apples market share and that their actions were precedented. In other words, Apple didn't do anything unique today, certainly nothing every other electronics manufacturer hasn't done countless times before.

If you want to harp on someone for breaking the "Apple code", harp on those people that constantly deride the iPhone and Apple in general.

Who ****** seriously "sticks with Apple" because of their market share? The suits, that's who.... and Apple users certainly aren't made up of such loyal "businesss only" customers.

Don't act like this is some huge surprise that Apple customers feel a sense of "closeness" towards Apple...

Well if the job of the whole price drop was to make more money for Apple and its shareholders, hmmm why do it on the same day you change your entire music product line and announce a new product.

Its been iPhone price drop talk all day. They even mentioned it on Cable news (with no mention of the new ipod touch).

And of course the stock price drop.

I hope it drops like a brick tomorrow.

Uhhh todays price drop is directly related to the iPhone outrage. If you aren't into the markets, it was on cable news today.
My guess is the people complaining about the drop in price don't own AAPL, so I doubt it played a role in the decline of the stock.

P.S. Both NASDAQ and the DJI were down today, as were Sun, Intel, Cisco, MicroSoft, RIM and SanDisk. Did they discount their products too today?
