i really want to buy an iPhone but me hearing that theres a new one in the works worrys me a lot. ive been doin A LOT of research and finding info on the iPhone the goods and the bads like it lacks 3g etc. i just don't want to buy it then the 2nd one comes out and as everything the 1st one didn't? so should i wait for the 2nd or buy the iPhone now?

The only problems with this phone are the lack of 3G and GPS. EDGE connections are not bad - I can usually get a webpage to load in under 20 seconds, which I can live with. If you can't live with that, then you should wait (if you can, I could never
).We have a "Future iPhones" forum, just so you know. Chris the moderator will most likely move this thread to that forum if he notices it.
Really, it isn't official that there is a new iPhone in the works. As for EDGE, it works fine for me. Not nearly as slow as some people say. However, I also have an AirPort station in my house so I mostly use Wi-Fi. As for the research, that was a good idea. I hope that you think it's as awesome as it is. So, I would say get it now. Because waiting may wind you up in thinking "Well, maybe, I'll just see if they have a new one in a few months" every time a new one is released.

If you have a question, people are quick to respond and 90% of the time answer your question and are very helpful.
Hell, look at me, I'm one that is still waiting on getting one and I learn something new everyday!
I would have told you to wait, see what happens in the next 90 days or so. But as a previous post read, you can wait and wait and wait and just keep waiting your entire life!
Bottom line is, there is always gonna be something new and improved on the horizon, you just need to decide what's good for you.

It's not just yours. Low speakerphone volume and low earpiece volume are common complaints.
Take it back to where you got it and let the employees, or better yet manager, listen to it.

I can't remember any names but I've read several cases on here where people have taken their phones back and had them replaced on the spot!
Now you ordered online, I dunno anything about that?
Maybe they'd be nice enough to replace it in store, or they could just tell you to send it back from where you purchased it.
I think it'd be best to call ahead and tell them your situation and see if it's even worth making the trip over.
But, that's just me
