Does anyone know if there is a 'faster' way of charging the iPhone. Either charging directly from the wall or charging via a computer. Which is fastest?

I can say in my case that charging from my PC is much faster then from the wall. Also, using the PC is the only way for me to get that ever desirable glowing green battery and icon on the little battery telling me I am completely charged.

I don't think there is a faster way, but I wouldn't know because I charge my phone ovenight from the wall charger.

This is how I get my glowing battery too. I've never been able to do it via the wall charger so I've been charging through my pc all this time:laugh2: Some people even say that it'll make your battery last longer is you charge by PC but I don't know if there's any truth to that.

I've done both (always over night) and I see no difference in batter life but I don't know how long it takes..

my sister in law told me a story about a ipod nanno she bought in BEST BUY.the salesman talked her into buying a wall charger for her new nano because he said the computer only charges 80% where the wall charger charges 100%i have no idea of the truth of that statement or was it a gimmick to sell another $30 assorie.

Yeah the only way mine shows a full battery is through my MacBook but when I charge it in the wall I know it fully charges bc if I just plug it in in the morning to my comp it takes 2 sec for it to fully show green and reset the meters. But still its frustrating to wake up to a partially full bettery and 3 hours of standby and usage time on the meters after it has been charging all night.

I had it hooked up to my iMac ALL day and it didn't finish charging until late afternoon. On the wall, it took about 2 to 3 hours, tops...

A computer usually limit the current draw of the USB outlet to 500 mA as where to power outlet is 1 Amp; making the power outlet faster.

My preference is using my Latop to charge the phone and my Battery life is Great. I do keep my Laptop on the charger most of the day and it stays on all day.

Swamped mine iPhone out on Wed because the battery life on my old one was terrible. Now my new one will not charge fully with it pulged into the wall or into teh computer.
