ohh well atleast we know they didn't forget about us,

I have heard this patch was more of a security update for the phone and they are not planning any enhancements till atleast 4th quarter, not sure how reliable my source is but she did know about this security update

not quite sure what you are talking about but a security update is something I see as an important add on to the phone. I'd feel much safer walking around on campus next week if I had the patch for the vulnerability that was found.

Maybe i should rephrase what i meant to say!

What i meant to say is it doesn't include any of the add ons we were hoping for such as
- ichat
- aol im
- multiple people in a txt msg
- being able to send pix msg
- flash

and so on

I mean come on, you cant tell me that your thrilled because of a security update. I mean i heard of being a team player and drinking the kool aid, but your taking it to a whole new level, if your saying this is what you wanted

Yeah, a bit of a let down. At least they pushed out a mass update, a first for the iPhone. Hopefully it's a dry run to get the critical security issues patched before pushing out the big update in the next couple weeks.
