You know Steve Jobs couldn't have picked a better day to release the iPhone. July 4th is next week. A lot of people will be taking off Friday anyway because of the holiday.
How many people are going on trips for the July 4th? Wouldn't a phone that has internet and google maps be the absolute PERFECT travel companion, especially if it's still a novelty? Think of all the people that will be hanging out at their campgrounds, airports, and hotel lobbies playing with their iPhones instead of playing frisbee and looking at maps. Just think of the free advertising that we will be doing for Apple! We'll be spreading the joy and love of our new toys to even the most remote of locations!
