yeah this sucks, i ordered yesterday and have no idea when itll arrive. in the meantime i carefuly cut away the plastic that the phone came with lol so that its only covering the screen and not the earpiece or the buttons.. at the very least, the screen is protected still right now, even though that plastic covering is getting scratched up
Yep I could see the plastic would not hold so I went ahead and bought a crystal film screen protector for the meantime and a Incase Protective cover.(though I might not even use that)

Where did you find anti-glare for the 3g phone? I only saw the v1 anti-glare and thought there'd be too much of a space between the edge of the film and the phone's chrome edge
I got mine at the Apple Store, Menlo Park, NJ.

Hi,

I got for the time being a silicon case, its an AT&T product. It has a screen protector too. Anyways, I am not going to settle for this one, since i needed one before i get the iPhone out in the air.

I am not planning to get a dock, hence I am not aiming at slider cases. I am planning to get a sleek, preferably a silicone case, so that there wont be any chance that the case itself would cause scratches to the back of the iPhone.
However, I did notice that silicone cases do happen to grab lint when the iPhone is in your pocket, but i think i can live with that.

Also, I did read somewhere that people had incase plastic cases and on impact falls they they to just break into pieces.

So guys, keep posting your experiences here with the case that you bought or have most certainly decided to buy one in the near future, with :

- brand and model description
- reason why you think that this case suits best for you.

Thanks !

iSEE Case

I got this case today from the aaple store...

http://www.contourcase.com/isee/iseeiPhone3G/

One word Horrible.. If you put the phone on vibrate you cant put it back on ring because your finder doesn't have enough room to move it back. The bottom of the phone the plastic end is sharp and rigid also and has cut me. I want to take it back but the dumb people at the Lenox Mall (ATLANTA) store make everyone wait in a line no matter what you want to do. It sucks because I cant return it and I have a terrible product.

I actually went with Ghost Armor (front/back) and I also pre-ordered a "Top-Skin" from pdostore.com

Based on the previous models reviews.....
I hope these skins don't block the sensor. I got a cheap $10 DLO Jam Jacket as a temp fix to protect my 3G until I can get the exact case I want. Well, the JJ blocks the sensor so when I take a call I could accidentally hit a button.

Vaja

I ordered a case from Vaja the day they were announced. I used one with my v1 and it was outstanding. (vajacases.com)

Only issue is that when you customize, the wait for arrival can take up to 45 days.

In the interim I am using a sleeve case that was sent out by AB Sutton when I ordered their case for the v1. It is made of felt, and it is nice for quickly getting the iPhone out of, and provided protection in your pocket.

Ghost Armor was my choice

I ordered Ghost Armor it does make it bulky and it will keep it new forever. So now Im not as nervous cause it will never get scratched. Great Product and Great Service A+++. Question though does anyone know of a case or something that can make my iPhone waterproof or at least water resistant?
