In preperation of the release of the iPhone, and cover flow, im trying to get all my music info down(album art, track numbers, etc.) and was just wondering if there was an easy way to get all this or if you have to do each song manually.

thx

I used to use Amazon.com but I found that a lot of their album artwork has a white border. I have been using google to type the artist name in and then clicking on the links to Wikipedia.com they usually have all albums listed under discography. It has been awesome.

Use the Get Album Art feature in iTunes or some third party tool, like Tunes Sleeve.

what's wrong with "get album art" in the iTunes dropdowns?

Sometimes the Title layout can be different. Instead of Artist album song it could be album artist song and it wouldn't recognize it.

that works fine if you got all your songs from your own CDs or from iTunes store. IF you've got any songs from a P2P system, then many times the album info will not be correct. If it's not correct, then "get album art" won't work.

Stay away from P2P and you won't have a problem. If you like P2P, then you've got some work to do. It took me two days to get all mine straightened out. Unfortunately, I get a lot of music from Limewire.

All you have to do is just right-click the file(s) in iTunes and click "Get Info". At that point, you can change the ID3 tag info, and rename the album to what it should be, then right-click them again, click "Get Album Artwork", and it will find it.

Yeah sure. It's that easy. If you only have one or two songs! But, if you have 4 GBs of music, then you've got a little problem.
