i plan on going to ihop early in the morning and after that im gonna keep on checking to see if there is a line... one thing im bringing is pepperspray hahah, im not taking my chances of some guy trying to rob me hahaha

I'm going to cruise by a few stores just for the fun of watching iPhone Mania Live!

I'm changing my vote to 9am.
I just visited the store I am going to wait at and decided that I need to be there early. The Mall supposedly doesn't open until 10am but I am going to try real hard to be waiting outside the Apple store at 9:42am. If nothing happenes at 9:42 and there is no one else in line then maybe I will go wander around the mall for a little while.

I am located in a place where Apple does not dominate as much as it could and such. Since I am not actually buying one, I just want to play with one of the displays, I will start around 2pm. This is just for fun too.

same boat as you. the mall in syracuse where the Apple store is and there's a ATT store doesn't 'open' until 10. but i was there for the opening of the Apple store i got there at 7 and was only 200something in line. for this, im getting to the mall at like 8:30-9 i wanna be first.
I thought in another thread you said you will not be buying one till the 2nd gen one comes out? Which is it?
yeah man ive got a friend who is coming with me and he thinks there wont be a line, i was like i would rather wait all day and being the only one there then waiting till later on and getting in line and finding out that they sold out, that would suck.
if he has the free time why not? if i could i would, it just fun waiting in lines for something to be released, you met at lot of cool people that are interested in the same thing as you
I hope so! I am going to drive by at noon and if no one is there I will leave and come back later in the afternoon. I want to be first in line so I have no doubt in my mind I will be getting one. Besides the store is about 1 mile from my house and I have a friend camping there with me so I won't be bored. I am actually almost looking forward to just hanging out there and BSing for like 24 hours.
Thursday Night: drive around and see if any campers...(if any)
Friday: I have the day off work already... still not sure if Apple or Att store will be the best place to get one... so ill drive around around 10am and see how its looking and make my decision..........I plan to wait in line as little as i need too, but as long as i have too......

If you go at noon and no one is there then you'll be first. If you go back later and someone is there then you can't be first.
