For me. I will be driving down a particular street where I will actually see the AT T store before I can park my car. So from that perspective, I will be able to decide: "Hmmm no line...cool Ill come back in an hour" perform a U TURN and go home.
OR
"Ooooo look ten or fifteen peeps in line already at 3pm?!" Park car immediately...race to AT T line.

i have the day off...the wife and i have our first sonogram(awesome day for me) that morning. we actually drive bye one of 2 att stores here. ill glance and see if there is a line already, though i wont wait all day for the thing. i intend on checking again at about 4:30 or 5. i don't live in a real "techie" area, so i hope i'll be good to go.

I'll check Thursday at closing time (7 PM). IF there's a line forming out I'll jump. IF nothing happens Thursday, then I'll be back by 7 AM on Friday.

Occurred to me that if you don't see too much of your actual city online here then you may not have to worry so much about a line. Could be wrong though. I have yet to see my Cali city on here at all.

I'm still up in the air...but right now I plan on swinging by the ATT store at close thursday night around 9p...If there's no line, then I'll come back at 12a...if there's a line, I jump in, otherwise I'l be back at 7a and then take it from there. The manager told me I should show up when they open friday morning and they will tell us whats going to happen.

You could be right with that theory....i have seen under a handful of people from my city but nobody in my neighborhood on these boards.

i've only seen a handful of people on here from my area, but there has to be a bunch more iPhone sites running around...they're probably all floating around out there. I called the mall that has the Apple store and they are preparing for long lines starting at midnight.

Well, I took the day off... the mall in which the Apple store is in...opens at 10am..so I will be there at 10...hopefully there wont be a line at 10am...if there is...well I'll walk with my folding chair from modell's...my girlfriend will be with me.... a real trooper for being with me.....she will be shopping..when i need a bathroom break or food break she will be there for me....unless theres some sale in victoria secrets I don't know about....

In my search to find peeps in my city who might be camping(not a camping thread i realize) I went to a few different forums..Searched iPhone camping with my city attached etc. Only a handful in my Cali town were on the Mac Forums site. Im seriously not worried about not getting one now.

well you have to think about it too.....not everyone who wants an iPhone is on EI...so you still have to factor those last minute people...im still going early when the store opens....hopefully there wont be a line....if there is well.....let see if i can still get one...
