AT&T / Apple need to put to rest the whole "can I upgrade within my 2 year contract" question. I know people have posted screenshots of customer service replies, but I would like to see an actual statement from AT&T regarding that issue.

ya me too, it's kind of a big deal that they make this known before countless people (including myself) wait in line for hours just to be turned down because im not eligible for a new contract. personally i think that if you are willing to throw down 600 dollars for a phone you should be able have one..

In our co. email this morning (ATT), there was in internal memo explaining what changes were done on the att network specifically to keep the iPhone up and running. So far our co. has spent 50 million in EDGE upgrading and it says that consumers will be pleasantly surprised at the speeds they are going to get. It also stated that for the last 10 weeks that there were 200 iPhones in the hands of ATT techs in the field testing this thing. It also stated that very soon there will be a very surprising commercial with interesting details out this week. And it also stated that everyday this week, the co. will send us updated emails on the netwrk side of the iPhone buildout.
