I just got my iPhone 4S in white and my mate thinks its a girlie phone but I just wanted to be different. What do you guys think? Is the white iPhone for girls or is it down to personal choice?

It's totally up to you, but i know that doesn't help since you came here seeking others opinion. For me personally, I don't like seeing guys with white iPhone 4s. The 3 series wasn't as bad because the white was limited to the back. The 4 is all white and does look more feminine. Then again I also don't like seeing guys in certain types and color cars. Maybe I'm just picky. lol

Personal preference... I have seen a lot of men with white devices.. My preference is black but I don't think white is girlie...

I have a white one (at last!), and last I checked, I was all man. I don't understand why white is all of a sudden girly with iPhones. It is a classic Apple color, was the iPod and iMac color for a while, and it's sexy as hell, whether owned by a man or a woman. Calling a color girly or manly seems a little outmoded.

100% female here and I have black. Colors mean what you like, not what gender you are.

I think no matter what the reason is you should get what color you want. If you are buying a certain color phone because of what other people think then you should just buy a droid also.

Do you carry your white iPhone in what I believe is called a satchel in Europe? (We call them purses here.)

If so, then yes, It's a girlie phone.
