I'm having troubles with my stock stereo. Whenever I try to play a cd only plays the 1st 4-5 tracks and the rest is scratchy or won't play. The CDs are new and are not damaged. Any advice ?
Was thinking of getting a new deck, speakers are fine and great.

Older stereos do get dirty inside of them and the track the eye is on gets jammed up so it can't move out as the cd plays. This is most likely the cause of it skipping at the middle of the cd.
Try spraying some compressed air in the cd slot without a cd in it. If that doesn't work you can replace a cd deck for next to nothing.what state do live in? I'll do it for you. :)

Also they make cd/DVD player laser eye cleaning discs. It is a cd with a little brush on it that cleans the eye. Couple of bucks at best buy or target.

Lol thanks for the advice bro. I stay here in Vegas, I did also notice that whenever it gets cold the cd player doesn't play right. I think I am going to get a new sound system but getting a deck first. I was going to stop using CDs and use the USB port do I can play through my iPhone.

Every cd player hates the cold. Even aftermarket ones.

My mother has the 06 version and her CD player stopped working about two years ago. We had the laser cleaned, ran a CD cleaner, and those were all but temporary fixes, the player eventually died again. Time for a new CD/DVD player.
