Who hasn't gotten their tracking number from AT&T yet?

I also ordered through AT&T over the phone. I ordered through premier but either way u should b seeing something. I would call them because I got an email a little while after I made the order and since then I've had access to my order status. It might be a website problem but it wont hurt to check.
I ordered over the phone around 8am friday morning central time. I was on the phone for 2hrs, transferred to 6 diff people and 4 diff 800's. I was pretty mad by the time I talked with the last guy who told me this " The order # that you have received that starts with TORD is an internal order number which is why you cant access it on the website or through the automated order status number." You will get your phone on friday. I said thats great and all, but this has been a CF from the beginning. He told me if its not there Fri, to call back and they will locate it. I said how are you guys going to locate it without a tracking #? He then said they have an internal way of checking it. Again, probably just complete BS but after 2hrs on the phone with them last night verifying my name, phone # and last 4 of SSN, I had had it. I am in the same boat though. I ordered through AT&T over the phone, received an order confirmation email but have no way of tracking it and no way of viewing the order of my status.

I bet they get annoyed people calling them every min asking if they will get their phone Friday. doesn't matter what they say, you will either have it or you wont. Just relax and wait till the 14th

if their system actually worked and their employees who work in their call centers were actually competent enough to look up an order and handle what the customer is asking, they wouldn't be inundated with all these calls. It shouldnt take two hours of my night, 6 diff people (all verifying phone #, my name, name on the acct, and last four of SSN) all to figure out how to look up my order status online. And than when they cant do it, pawn me off by giving me some other 800 # to do it all over again. They bring it upon themselves. I have been on the phone a grand total of 3.5hrs and still no one has been able to tell me how to successfuly check my order status over the phone or online. I can clearly see my iPhone 4 order though from last june! They jump all over signing me up for a new 2yr contract, and are quick to tell me they can see those notes in the computer, but when it comes to my order status you would think I was asking them some question they have never heard before.

It's easy to check it online. Simply log into your AT&T wireless account & click on orders. If it's not there then there may be an issue.

which is why I was trying to verify the order online. Again, they told me my order # is an internal # and cant be viewed online or through their automated phone system but assured me it would be delivered friday. Guess we will just play the waiting game, and hope and pray it comes when they say it will.

I received my email confirmation from AT&T and 4.30am Central. My phone still shows processing and back-ordered.

I know I should worry, but I am! :(

Talked to an AT&T rep again. She said that if you ordered over the phone u would probably not be able to check your status online. She said none of the iPhone 4s have shipped from AT&T and that it would be on a first come first serve basis and that it will go by how many Apple gives them and what number you are. I really hope mine ships soon because I stayed up until 3 am central time just to order!

"Orders placed through Apple are tracked differently than orders placed through AT&T. Apple ships to individuals directly from China, so your FedEx tracking information goes all the way from Hong Kong, to the US West coast, where it goes through Customs, and then gets sent on the domestic portion of the trip. Orders placed through AT&T come from their main warehouse (which I think is in Texas) and that's where the tracking starts. The phones may have gotten to the warehouse a day or so earlier from China, but you don't see that part on tracking. With AT&T, all you see is the shorter, domestic part of the journey from AT&T to you.

That's why people who got their phones through Apple are getting tracking info before those who ordered through AT&T. Don't worry that people who ordered through Apple are going to get their phones first. They're not. Even if they arrive in the US from HK tonight, I think people will find them "awaiting customs clearance" just long enough to ensure they don't arrive before Apple wants them to. Apple may split them up some half arrive Thursday and the other half arrive Friday like they did with the iPhone 4, but that will hold true whether you order from AT&T or Apple. At least that's what I remember from past experiences"

I just got this email... ordered around 4:00 am CST through AT&T website. FWIW I'm a premier customer (which usually makes things more complicated for some reason). I'm encouraged to get SOMETHING! Note the second paragraph says "to be delivered AS EARLY AS October 14, 2011." My status in both places on AT&T still says Processing.

I also got one right after I ordered with a subject line: AT&T Premier Order Received
This latest email that I posted above was slightly different and used "Update" in the subject line instead of "Received"

Pretty much worthless as it had no additional information except confirming that it "is still scheduled" for delivery for the 14th.
