Who ordered from AT&T and have you got shipped date yet?

Even though the Fedex site said my shipping date was 6/22, I just checked and it says that it is in my home town OUT FOR DELIVERY! The folks that said you didn't need to pay for overnight were correct! BTW I just got the email from AT&T with the tracking info this morning. I would imagine you have your by now as well.

The only thing is, sometimes overnight delivery will get you your package before the afternoon runs. I've found this to be how it works here in Miami for the most part. Regular ground delivery never delivers before 3pm, but overnight is always here around 10am on Fedex and UPS.

So maybe it will be worth the charge.

I just received this email from ATT. When i check order status, it says SIM card is shipped and doesn't mention anything about the phone.

"We shipped part of your recently placed AT&T Premier order.

We will ship the remaining backordered items when all items are in stock and will notify you via email with the tracking number."

Anyone else get this? To me it sounds like the phone is backordered.....i ordered a white 32g on the 11th.

Yes-my order says this too! I ordered a 16GB white. I am tracking my order and it's on the Fed Ex truck, with 3:00 PM ETA at my house, but now I am wondering, is this just the darn SIM card coming? Hmmm. Guess I'll be finding out!

I spent an hour holding to finally talk with someone at ATT, and he told me that the email was a mistake and the phone with sim card is shipped. They will not ship a partial order without the phone, no matter what. I still have to wait til monday, but its ok.

I have the same thing and I also ordered on the 11th and my tracking info says its scheduled for the 22nd so I guess Monday it is...Enjoy your 3GS' everyone...I can live with my 3G for another few days

Kinda how I feel too. I was surprised to see that mine was arriving today and was prepared to wait. I hardly feel "deprived" with my 3G!
I'm just finishing my work day but checked, and indeed, my shipment arrived at my house! woo hoo! I am assuming it then is in fact the phone and all. Anyway-this all is wacky. I ordered on the 12th so why an order on the 11th didn't go through first, who knows? well-for someone who has to wait, at least you have a good attitude about it!

Same thing happeneded to me, so i called att and they assured me that the phone and sim are shipping together even though it doesn't show like that. They said no way would the sim ship without the phone. I hope thats true!

Never ended up getting the confirmation email from either order, and then the order that was shipped to my parents' house today (the one that was to be refused, as I already got my phone in store this morning) was dumped by Fed Ex on the porch, so we didn't even have a chance to refuse delivery! No doorbell ring, no knock, no nothing. So now I get to spend tomorrow figuring out how to deal with this extra phone so I don't wind up getting spanked for full upgrade charges.

Thankfully, my parents live in a rural area and nobody comes up to their porch unexpectedly. Otherwise, that phone could've developed legs and been gone before we even knew it'd been delivered! (And yes, someone was sitting there all day, listening for the doorbell, for the express purpose of refusing delivery.) Makes me wonder if Fed Ex hasn't been running into a bunch of that today and wanted to avoid having to deal with the extra package. Grr.

I will never order online from AT&T again.

Long story short, I ordered LAST WEEK, came to find out tuesday that our order never even made it in the system, (there was a glitch in the system At&T said) and they had to put it manually, said it would ship friday (today). Not only has it not shipped today, they told me after over an hour hold that it would now be 7-14 days. I am livid.

I went to two AT&T stores to just cancel the online order and just buy them today, they were out and even refused to look and see if any other stores had them in stock, acted like they couldn't do that (I find this hard to believe) so finally just went to the Apple store, they had plenty, but since I already ordered from AT&T, even if I canceled right then, it apparently doesn't show in the system for 72 hours, hence I wouldn"t be able to buy the phones in store at the subsidized price because of course it shows I already bought 2 phones at the upgrade price. I gave up at that point, and I'll just wait the frikken 7-14 days!

I bet a while. Here is my story and what I have heard:


Long story short, I had placed a pre-order about two weeks ago. It didn't get processed until the 18th because AT&T messed up the initial order.

Finally after the order was corrected I still couldn't get any status on my order other than will process in the next businesss day so I kept calling in until someone could tell me something. I have received conflicting information several times, but, I finally got in contact with an AT&T rep who leveled with me and said the iPhones for AT&T are on backorder with no ETA as far as she could see.

She told me that for the white 16GB the Fort Worth warehouse had a backorder of 33 units. The warehouse in Tennessee had a back order of 6600 units for the white 16GB.

Oh yeah, the last rep also told me they were told to tell everyone 7-14 is the standard processing time. I think that's their default line. Also, any rep can look instantly and tell if your iPhone is on backorder at the warehouses. So, if you call them ask them to find out how many units are already on backorder for your version and then you might have an idea of how long you have to wait.
