Who's skipping work for iDay

I scheduled off that day when the rumors first surfaced that it would arrive on the 21st. I've done that every year except for the first iPhone when I stood in a very short line at an AT&T store. So I will be home awaiting delivery.

I had surgery last month. I am on medical leave until October 8th, so it is a non issue for me. I told my husband to bring his lunch because I ain't leaving the house until I have my iPhone in my hand

Can't even skip work when I'm sick imagine for a phone. Got it shipped to my work, I'd be starring at my home door like a lunatic for hours.

I hadn't though about it but i think i may just take off Friday. I have over 124 hours of PTO ( paid time off) so why not

Maybe a dumb question here but does store usually sell out of phones on iday? I won't be able to get to stores till 12pm on iday.

I'm not skipping work, but I do have a friend that works at a carrier that is going to hold one back for me. I may take off an hour or 2 early though!

Most if not all stores will have a line of people around the store BEFORE they open.

Got to in uk as if I'm not in will have to book another day for it to be delivered,plus this week is gonna drag anyway waiting for Friday..gonna stay off then hope iPhone5 arrives early in the morning and spend a couple of hours checking it out and go in work at dinner time, but knowing the delivery company it will turn up at 3pm

Luckily I don't have to work Fridays but I'm not camping. I'm going about 2 hours before AT&T opens & if the line is too crazy I'm going back home.

I remember when the 4 came out. I waited at the downtown San Francisco store (the one on Stockton Street). The line went down Stockton and then turned and went down the next block or so

That's insane! I do not recall going to the store to get the iPhone on launch day.
