I, as well! I even made my own wallpaper/theme and spend hours looking at different icons to match with the apps and whatnot. fireworks is a great program, btw!
Why Jailbreak?

That is what i was doing nearly all of today, lol, i am quite happy with it though, i posted screen shots of my days work in the 'post screenshot of 3G thread'
Can someone explain (in layman's terms) what jailbreak is and why should I want to do it?

you can always try searching before post but it is the "cracking" "hacking" into the iPhones software to get 3rd party apps unaproved by Apple you can get video recorder copy/paste and other stuff, themes and customization....it sometimes results in lag but not all people experience that....its easy to do and takes 15 minutes...

usually they cant tell if you restore,,, but i have heard of certain files to remain even after a restore....so you'd be taking a risk but i think your fine.... if you don't mind a little lag then its definitely worth it

I think that the benefits of jailbreaking far outweigh the risks. What Skol312000 says is technically true, but many, many people have had their iPhones serviced by Apple after doing a full restore and taking it in.
If you want video recording, copy & paste and turn-by-turn voice GPS (coming to jailbroken iPhones no later than March 9), then jailbreaking is for you.
It's mostly a lot of awesome tweaks you can do such as SBSettings where you can quickly reboot your phone etc. Awesome tweaks + a bunch of other cool apps such as being able to keep applications running in the background.
The list goes on and on and on!
There is a lot of free stuff and some paid also. I love SBSettings for adjusting brightness and stuff. Lots of visual tweaks. PDANet is another good one for tethering. I also like to change the colors of my text balloon stuff so I can read it faster. Facebreak...allows facetime over the network instead of wi-fi only. Gridlock lets you put apps on the wallpaper where you want and they don't snap to locations. There are programs to delete or hide some of the unused apps that you can't remove when stock. There are tons of things you can do.
Usually an update like that doesn't come out to often. We wouldn't have information yet as far as a jailbreak available for any further updates. That will come when they are aware of an update in the near future.
