How come two iPhone 4s in the same room one can see a wi fi signal and the other cannot? Is this a software or hardware problem and can it be fixed? The one that cannot see if I bring it 5 feet to the wi fi repeater then it can see it. Very strange

The problem is not how many devices are connected to the wifi but rather how can two iPhones same brand one can see the wifi signal and connects another cannot. I have even switched off the other iPhone but still my iPhone can only receive when 5 feet away only

Make an appointment at the Apple store near you and have them check the phone. I had wifi issues with my phone at one point and it was hardware related.

yeah, that has to be in the phone, I've had as many as 3 iPhones on my wifi along with 2 laptops, a printer and a xbox and all of the iPhones worked just fine on wifi (aside from having AT&T as my home internet and that being a giant ball of suck). I suggest what roofmonkey says.

Had exactly the same issue with two iPads, and yet the buggy one worked elsewhere making it difficult to demonstrate the case at the Apple store.
