That's right... there is a mic, it's just not obvious where it's located on the S9 headset itself.According to jpmihalk (post 15 in this thread) there is a mic.
Nike has a pedometer sensor that you put into your shoe and it links to a plug in your ipod to record your workout data.Yeah me too.
Something about bluetooth connecting your walking rate with your music play speed came to mind..
That sounds like overkill.
But those socks are neat, I might pick one of those up.
Yeah, I actually saw that later that day.Nike has a pedometer sensor that you put into your shoe and it links to a plug in your ipod to record your workout data.
It would be a cool addition to use the position sensors in the iPhone to record your steps time and other data that would be recorded into an excel file for tracking your workouts. They cold call it "iWorkOut"
I heard that these folks will have something similar:OK, I have a huge question. Is this way too much to ask for, or does this exist?
A stereo bluetooth headset that has noise cancellation (like the Shure, but wireless) so you can listen to your music in peace (on a plane? etc.), but also cancels incoming noise on a call so other people can actually hear you, like with the Jawbone?
Does that combo exist or am I dreaming?
Yeah - I'm sure they will have something that will work for both iPhone as an iPod and as a phone.Wow those look great (I assume the ety8)... But they don't have a mic (they're not for a phone - just listening like through a bluetooth equiped iPod). Really great idea though ... but is there this same thing (stero bluetooth headset with noise reduction on both ends), but with the mic so it can be used with an iPhone in case a call comes in (or as the bluetooth headset to begin with even if you're not listening to music). Basically something that does double duty.
Thanks!
I think you are dreaming. Noise cancelling headsets need more power, don't they?OK, I have a huge question. Is this way too much to ask for, or does this exist?

The device like blue tooth pen could be a great invention (Great thought buddy). May be they'll give some more cool options like blue tooth streaming of audio files so you can listen to iTunes without any wired connection just using your blue tooth headset(as of now this feature is provided by Motorola in new handsets).
Check it out! MOTOROKR™ S9
I agree. I have the previous model, the Motorola HT820's, which sound great and double as earmuffs becaouse they are so big. I have a service plan on them from Radio Shack, and I'm crossing my fingers that they will crap out so that the Shack replaces them with the S9 since they stopped carrying the HT820's months ago. I really hope that the iPhone comes with at least A2DP if not that and AVRCP. While we're at it, the ability to access the internet via Bluetooth (my school says I can't have my own wi-fi) through a serial port profile would be killer.Check it out! MOTOROKR™ S9

$130 for a sweet bluetooth answer to music and phone listening/control. Unless Apple comes out w/something nicer, this is my BT stereo headset.![]()
Not sure about the incoming call noise cancellation, but the rest exists and you can check it out here.OK, I have a huge question. Is this way too much to ask for, or does this exist?
