I currently use a verizon cell phone with bluetooth capability in my car (Lexus, bluetooth capable). When the car starts up, it pairs with the cell phone in a couple seconds. I don't need to use ear pieces or head sets or anything like that....everything is done simple from my car.

Will iPhone be able to do the same?

So far there hasn't been any official word as to what profiles will be included in the iPhones Bluetooth stack.

Rumor has it that the following will be present though:
A2DP
AVRCP
BIP
BPP
CIP
DID
FTP
GAP
OBEX
HFP
OPP
PBAP
SDAP
SYNCH
VDP

If the rumors are true, it should work fine with your car's system.

It should just be a matter or pairing the device with your car's bluetooth system. I can't see Apple disappointing all the Lexus, Acura, Jaguar, BMW, and Infiniti owners out there.;)
