Will i notice the difference between a 3G and a 3GS

As per title , i currently have a ipod touch 3rd gen which is quite fast runs all my apps fine , is there a huge difference in speed between them and will I have issue with the old hardware and new apps?

Yes, the 3GS is much faster and is still supported. The 3g isn't.

Well i currently have a 3g Ipod that i use more and more so thought i would get a iPhone instead

I don't think you'll notice too much difference between an iPod touch 3rd Gen and an iPhone 3GS iPhone. We have a 2Nd Generation iPod touch it's just as fast as my wife's 3GS.

It often depends as much on the firmware it has.
