I occasionally use my current PDA to send SMS and Email messages to my friends and relatives in Russia in Russian langauge. For that I use separately purchased software on my Windows Mobile PDA and build-in foreign langauge support of Symbian OS on my Sony Ericsson P990.
I'm planning to completely switch to iPhone once I get it.
I'm wondering if iPhone will support multiple langauges for messaging, I wasn't able to find any info about that on Apple web site.
Thank you, any info will be greately appretiated.

Don't think there's any news on this one. I'm in the same boat. My wife is Chinese and prefers to have Chinese on her phone and computer.

I would guess yes. Don't know about chinese, but I would think at least English, Spanish, and Canadian French.
Well, if the OS really is OSX then it should have tons of langauges, including Chinese (traditional and simplified). But I've just yet to see anything confirming this.

You're probably right. It can't take up much space to have alternative langauges available.

Heh have you ever seen the OSX program Monolingual? It removes all the additional langauges from your OSX install, and when all said and done it usually ends up saving me over 2GB of space, so they do add up quite a bit.
