I purchased the Nike plus about a month ago. It works with the Nano and keeps up with your workout. Does anyone know if it will work with the iPhone? Thanks!

Not sure. It hasn't been mentioned. Does it use a regular connector like the one on the data cable?

actually, no. the regular (big) ipod has the same connector and it does NOT work with the Nike + running system.

it is a fact that it is only compatible with the Nano...sorry.

Thanks, I fiqured it probably wouldn't work. Plus like someone mentioned earlier, they would have to come out with a secure armband before I ran with it.

I'd rather run with my Nano anyway. Its much smaller and probably easier to control while you're running. I can't imagine using the touch screen while running lol..

I love my Nike+ kit, but I would much rather use the Nano anyway. iPhone is way to nice to start running with it.

I've seen an armband already advertised for the iPhone. It won't be as comfortable, but they're already being offered.

The Nike kit was designed for the nano since it doesn't use a physical spinning hard drive, thereforee it allows for the jarring motion of running. What kind of memory does the iPhone have? That may answer the question definitively.

Just a thought...

It has a flash drive.

Then it may support the kit. It would just require the software update like the Nano did. Guess we'll see on Friday?
Because I don't see anything on the Nike + site about the larger iPods or the iPhone. I did look there first, but I could have missed something.
