Wireless sync iOS upgrade?

Will this new feature allow for future iOS updates? Or will we still need a USB port? In other words.. I'm looking to do away with my PC and get an iPad. However will I still need a USB for updates to my iPhone?

After updating to ios5 using a pc you wont need it anymore. All future updates will be over the air.
