Works Great on WIFI - No Server/No Edge When Away From WIFI

Anyone else experiencing this?

Works flawless with a WIFI connection, but when without a WIFI connection can't reach server. Sometime can check email, other times can't. Phone works alright though, so must be the sorry Edge/Data service.

There is something wrong. I have used EDGE on AT&T / Cingular for years without problems. Call Apple tech support. Don't waste time as you have only 14 days to exchange it for another one.

this just started happening to me today. i've been browsing edge with no problem, but for some reason today, i keep getting 'no server' warnings.

i've reset the phone several times, but i still cannot connect to edge.

wifi works flawlessly.

what's going on with the edge network? :[

Mine's been working ok today.

Same problem here.

WIFI = great!
EDGE = just today started getting "can't connect to server" messages.

With multiple people having this problem, this has to be a problem with EDGE and not the phones themselves.

I turned off wifi and am browsing on my iPhone via edge...it's working for me.

Is it up now, or am I just special?

It is confirmed by AT&T: EDGE is down.

Obviously some people are effected while others are not. Here is a link to a discussion on AT&T's forums:

iPhone = no Edge

Blackberry = Edge weird ..

wonder why that is ? any ideas ?
