Would like to see any custom iPhone.

Anybody have a tricked out device? I'm talking hardware modifications? Custom colors or backplates? Let's see what you've done.

Both are covered by a LifeProof case though, so you don't see the backplate any longer.

I have a black 4S with a white OEM backplate, but I'm pretty sure that won't qualify it as tricked-out.

Not at all. Full glass replacement back ( not OEM, obviously).
Two screws, slide old back up a bit and lift off.

Like Roofmonkey said, it's really easy. It literally takes two minutes. iFixit.com has a tutorial for switching the backplate. Just make sure you get a Pentalobe screwdriver along with it.

I don't think folks do a lot of physical modding. There is such an incredible selection of cases and covers available that self-expression is simply a matter of slapping a new skin on your phone. The SJ memorial back plate is the most radical mod I've seen.

I put racing stripes on mine. Added 5gb of memory and increased my download speed.

I liked how the phone magically changed colour. I'd love that. An iPhone you can change the colour of in the settings. Pretty sweet.
