Would you still buy it?

Would you still buy it on day one if the data plan is $40 a month?

The question here is:

Who on this forum would still buy an iPhone on day one, if the data plan is announced to be $40?

Feel free to vote and say why. My vote is yes.

EDIT: The poll is now up.

Cool guys, thanks for voting and adding to the thread! :D

Please continue to vote, I see the results seem to show that most people still plan on buying the iPhone no matter what. I think, though, that many others that are new to the iPhone would be scared away if there is a $40 data plan. More iPhones for us! :laugh2:

It's gonna take some number crunching for me. Seeing my current plan and if I can cut some corners, etc. to get the data plan (if it is in fact $40 per month)... If it's $40, that'll make a tough decision for me, but I've come this far and obsessed this much over the iPhone so far, I'm leaning (optimistically) towards buying it if that's the case... with hesitancy.

I agree completely. I want to use this thing to its full potential, and after $600, another $40 a month won't hurt, right? :D

I don't want to have to worry about browsing only at hot spots or paying large bills. I just want to use this thing and have fun.

the poll is if the DATA plan is $40 a month....thats ontop of the regular calling plan you would get, which is usually about $40 a month....so it would be all together $80 a month to run the iPhone...pretty darn expensive if you ask me

Yeah, it is expensive. But the voice plan is not part of the poll. Everybody has a slightly different voiceplan, I am just wondering if everyone will be scared away by a $40 DATA plan.

I Have iPhone News. The iPhone Cannot Send Or Receive Mms. The iPhone Cannot Download Any Ringtonesk Graphics And Games. The iPhone Will Not Support Media Net/mall. The iPhone Will Require A Two Year Activation Out Of The Box. For Example. If I Buy An iPhone And Renew For Two Years And I Fulfill The Agreement. If You Decide To Give The Phone To Anyone Else Afterwards, Then That Person Will Have To Sign A Two Year Agreement Just For Having The Phone. The iPhone Can Never Be Unlocked Under Any Circumstance. The Phone Can Only Be Returned After 14 Days Of Purchase. If The Phone Is Returned Within The 14 Days, If The Phone Is Taken Out Of The Box, Then The Customer Is Charged 10% Of The Purchase Price As A Restocking Fee. The Customer Will Still Have 30 Days To Cancel The At&t Service But Atfer 14 Days, The iPhone Cannot Be Returned And Will Not Be Unlocked. No Discounts On The iPhone At All. There Will Be A Good Chance That The Visual Voicemail Feature Will Have An Additional Cost. All Issues With The Phone Besides The Visual Voicemail Will Go Through Apple. You Can Only Use The Phone With The Preinserted Sim That Will Come In The Box. No Sim Swapping With Friends.

ALSO THE VISUAL VOICEMAIL WILL COST EXTRA AND IT DOES USE DATA, SO THE DATA PLAN FOR THE PHONE WILL COST MORE THAN THE PDA CONNECT FOR THE OTHER PDAs THAT AT&T OFFERS.
