I thought for sure Kenneth Foster was a gonner. But God Bless it... Texas Governer Rick Perry had to go and actually do a good thing. I didn't know he had it in him. I just don't believe it. I'm absolutely flabbergasted. Perry did what he never did before and I never ever ever expected him to do: He took the parole board's recommendation and commuted Kenneth Foster's sentence from death by lethal injection to life in prison.

He was convicted of a murder even though the jury knew that he did not commit the murder.
